Bio
During his time at the University of Florida, Chris was fortunate enough to land a job with the State of Florida as a Computer Support Technician. The flexibility and on-the-job-training allowed him to simultaneously finish his degree in Computer Science at UF and develop valuable on-the-job-training experience that made him a rare candidate coming out of college. He used his behind-the-scenes knowledge of how a government institution works to broaden his viewpoint on real world problems and to fuel his career.
Learning quickly that software was trending towards the web, Chris learned ASP.NET during it’s infancy in 1999. After graduating and leaving the State for a web development job, Chris started developing his private sector experience by working as a programmer at a web development agency and an insurance company in Gainesville, Florida. These varying job experiences helped Chris to develop his technical skills in a variety or programming languages. With his eagerness to grow, his path brought him back to his hometown of Jacksonville, Florida where he continued his work with a web development company.
Chris Lahey and Chris Olberding met during college in Gainesville, and as fate would have it, ended up working at the same web development company in Jacksonville. With their professional ceilings getting closer by the second, Chris and Chris decided it was best to chart their own path and started Station Four in October of 2007. Chris continues to use his programming knowledge to create customized solutions for Station Four and its clients.
